The whites MXT-300 is the nicest detector I have ever owned! Starting to understand how to find deep stuff; it isn't easy, but I'm starting to figure out those deep, weak bleeps. Between the 100 year old Victorian that I hunted last night, and the 120 year old school I hunted today, I believe I'm on my way to some real treasure! Included in the $5.20 cents I found in 4 hrs. was a 1954 rosy dime, 1944 quarter, 1943-p war nickel, 1918 canadian penny(large in size and in excellent condition due to the fact it was incapsulated in some sort of leather pouch that flaked away upon touch). I also found an old jacknife that will not open, a 1977 trans-am T-roof hotwheel(date is on bottom),and a glass oil lamp(still intact) with metal rim on top. Some of these items were over a foot deep and I almost gave up. NEVER give up on deep stuff, it's what pays for the detector! I still have alot to learn about this machine, but my confidence is growing!
I know these places have been hit before, but this MXT-300 found stuff others missed! P.S. I just love the way silver still looks good after all these years! HH~Andy~

Hi Andy, Man!! you really made out good. Sounds like you're really one with your machine. That is my dream someday to find treasure like that. I have and still am trying to talk hubby into joining me but he doesn't seem interested (oh well, more treasure for me, LOL!!) I'm hoping to upgrade possibly next year, just bought this one Sept.'08' started using the beginning of May. Looking into one that has the VDI#. Don't know what brand yet.

Hi Audiz, for your next detector I would highly recommend MXT-300. I know people with garret 2500 which is good machine but for the money the Whites are better. VDI -95 thru + 94 with pix of 1st @ 2nd probabilities and very accurate pinpointing. Takes awhile 2 learn butit would be last machine you would ever need to buy. Has gold and relic hunt modes 2.
